What is CBD Isolate and How Does It Work?

What is CBD Isolate?

There are many compounds found within the cannabis plants, hemp and marijuana, with CBD (Cannabidiol) being just one of them. CBD usage has become very popular across the world and especially in America since the 2018 Farm Bill, which provided freedom to the country to legally grow and sell hemp products with trace amounts of up to 0.3% THC.

Presently, there are wide varieties of CBD products to choose from. Within these product selections you may come to find products boasting about providing a pure 99% CBD powder, or products infused with this, which may be also known as CBD Isolate. Isolate is the result of extracting and isolating the selected cannabinoid without any other compounds.

To manufacture CBD isolate products, the cannabis plant undergoes the washing and extraction process which filters out the CBD which then provides manufacturers with a concentrated oil form. This CBD oil is then put through a chilling process which is called winterization. This chilling process removes any unwanted chemical compounds, waxes, terpenes, and flavonoids which could be remaining in the CBD.

Once that process is complete, the manufacturer is left with a powder or crystal which is then ready to be sold as the purest form of CBD or utilized to be used to strengthen products such as oils, topicals, edibles, and more.

Benefits of CBD Isolate

Many consumers are easily attracted to the benefits and uses of CBD isolate.

Firstly, due to the process to get this pure form CBD isolate, the product will not get the user “high” as there is NO THC involved at the end result, not even trace amounts!

Manufacturers will conduct lab testing and provide consumers with a certificate of authentication to confirm the purity of the CBD isolate and a 0% THC content.

You Can Easily Figure Out Dosage Amounts

Consumers also find that calculating Isolate dosage can be as easy as grabbing any quality household scale, and measuring the milligram you need. Each weighed milligram is the equivalent to one mg of CBD to be ingested, easy enough, right?

Well to make it easier, some companies offer consumers on the go relief of Isolate products to easily provide their daily or as needed dosage, in a ready to go or pre measured size.

Users can easily figure out dosage amounts by following a simple method which we are about to explain. Consumers must also keep in mind that dosages vary between users since humans are each unique in our properties. Depending on our body weight, tolerance, diet, hormones, and many other attributes, the dosage for one user may not be the same for another user.

Consumers who are still determining which dosage to start with, are recommended to begin low, at about 10mg, and take that dosage consistently for a few days. By that time the user will be able to have a better understanding of the impact the dosage is having on them and if it is providing the relief that is needed.

If the user finds the result is limited or not having a major effect, it is recommended to increase the dosage to 20mg consistently for the next 3 days, and monitor the effect at a stronger dosage. This can be continued in small increments until the user finds exactly which dosage is effective for their ailments.

CBD Isolate usually starts to provide the full effect of the dosage within one hour of consumption.

CBD Isolate Effects

Studies have shown that isolate will provide relief for ailments such as treating and controlling diabetes, conquering anxiety and stress, easing inflammatory issues, working as a muscle relaxant, aiding insomnia or sleep issues, and has even been seen utilized by medical professionals to help with chemotherapy treatments.

CBD Isolate vs Full Spectrum Products

It’s important to understand the differences between CBD isolate and full spectrum products. With both forms, there are many beneficial health factors present. Earlier in this article we explained the process of how to obtain the pure 99% form of CBD powder, which provides the purest form of CBD and has no other compounds included.

While CBD Isolate is offered as a independent component with no additional compounds included, Full Spectrum products provide multiple compounds to form a spectrum of cannabinoids that work together, this includes trace amounts of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) , which may provide a slight “entourage effect” to the user.

Furthermore, with full spectrum products only obtaining trace amounts of THC, up to 0.3%, it’s enough to show up in the user’s system, which could pose an issue if the user may undergo a drug test.

For example, the military, law enforcement agencies, and emergency medical fields, among other industries, routinely conduct THC drug testing. Recently, with the laws regarding medical marijuana, and hemp products constantly changing in many states, we hope to see these types of protocols such as drug testing for THC ease up in the future. So if you can’t ingest any THC, finding pure CBD isolate will be your best go to product.

How to Use CBD Isolate

CBD isolate powder is usually tasteless and odorless, making it a very versatile component to work with. Users can enjoy a variety of ways to take CBD isolate daily, or as needed, and will find that it is usually recommended to place the powder directly under their tongue and to let the powder absorb directly into the body.

If you’re looking for a more creative way to take CBD isolate, users can enjoy mixing their dosage of the isolate powder directly into their favorite beverages or foods. Just add your dose directly into tea, smoothies, coffee, salads, cereal, or more! Isolate should not be heated above 150 degrees to obtain its compound quality and effects.

CBD Isolate also works topically, which has been known to work wonders for anyone struggling with ailments such as muscle pain or spasms or to aid in skin problems like eczema or dermatitis.

To benefit from CBD isolate as a topical, you may combine the isolate powder with a carrier oil such as coconut or almond oil or with natural moisturizer such as shea butter, and apply directly to the area of your skin to provide an almost instant relief. It is also common to find companies offering consumers already formulated CBD isolate creams and skincare products in stores or online.
